Year 5 Trip to Paris
June 2010
Children in Year 5 were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to spend a whole day in the beautiful city of Paris in June. We travelled on the Eurostar and were greeted by a Parisian headteacher who took us on the metro to visit her primary school in central Paris. The children played together and the different languages ceased to be a problem as they introduced one another. We then experienced lunchtime and had a delicious meal, which allowed the children time to get to know one another.
After lunch, we gently cruised down the River Seine on a boat which allowed us to view the major tourist attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower.
Later in the day, we walked through Paris and stopped to marvel at the stunningly beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral. The children and teachers all sat down together to sketch this amazing site before we headed home.
