Remembrance Day
November 2009
On the 11th November at 11am the children and staff of Duncombe School remembered the dead of the two world wars and the conflicts that have happened around the world more recently. We collected money for the British Legion by selling poppies to children and parents raising nearly £100 for the families of the bereaved supported by the British Legion. It was a poignant moment to see all our children quietly reflecting on those who have given their live on our behalf. These photos are of the Nursery, Reception, Infant and Junior children at 11am on that day.
