Lucca, March 2010
In March 2010, Mr O’Shea, Hayley, Louise and Duncombe Bear visited the ancient and medieval city of Lucca, in the second visit of the Comenius Project:
"During our visit, we had the pleasure of being invited to three different local primary schools. We were made to feel very welcome by both the staff and all the lovely children. It was so interesting to find out about school life in another country and to compare the similarities and differences to Duncombe. The children entertained us by performing a puppet show based on Puccinni’s works (Puccini was born in Lucca). They also sang for us and took pleasure in showing us their classrooms and their work. We know that Mr O’Shea, Amy, Tilly and Duncombe Bear are all very excited about their forthcoming visit to Berlin to continue this work on the Comenius Project."
